Ag Leader Creates Precision Agriculture Scholarship
Ag Leader Technology announced their commitment to support students interested
in precision agriculture by establishing the Ag Leader Technology Precision Agriculture Scholarship within the
Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (ABE) at Iowa State University. Five Ag Leader scholarships
will be awarded annually starting in the 2008/2009 school year.

Ag Leader Breaks Ground on Expansion Project

broke ground on a building expansion at their facility in Ames, Iowa. The 96,000 square foot addition will more than
double the size of the current facility and create approximately 58 new jobs in the Ames area.

the latest precision ag equipment to the Department of Agricultural and
Biosystems Engineering at Iowa State University for use in educating students

complete with hardware and software.

Ag Leader Introduces Low-Cost High-Accuracy GPS Receiver
Today, Ag Leader Technology, Inc.
introduced the GPS 1500, a low-cost high-accuracy GPS receiver, ideal
for use in DirectCommand™, SeedCommand™ and harvesting operations using AutoSwath™. AutoSwath is used to automatically turn
sprayer boom sections or planter sections on and off based on field
maps or already applied/planted areas and to automatically adjust
swath width of combines during harvest.

Ag Leader Adds Planter Monitoring to SeedCommand™
Ag Leader Technology, Inc. announced today that planter
monitoring functionality has been added to the planter control system, SeedCommand.
SeedCommand now tracks and logs average population while monitoring seed spacing. A
color bar graph and population display provide this information to operators in real-time.
These capabilities allow growers using SeedCommand to eliminate planter monitors from
their tractor cabs completely – monitoring and controlling necessary planting functions
from the InSight™ display.

DirectCommand - Hardi Compatible
DirectCommand is now compatible with Hardi Commander, Navigator and
Ranger series sprayers equipped with a Spray II Control Box. A tee
connection at the 39-pin cable is used to connect the DirectCommand
system to the flow control components of the sprayer. The sprayer kit is
designed to utilize the existing Hardi boom switches and fence row nozzles.
Optional switch functionality is also supported by the installation kit.

Changes to the WAAS Satellite Status (July 2007)
This document describes the changes to the WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation System) satellites.
The older WAAS satellites (PRN 122 and 134) were decommissioned in July 2007. Ag Leader
Technology, Inc. recommends that you switch your GPS receiver or EZ-Lightbar to use the new
WAAS satellites (PRN 135 and PRN 138) as a correction source.

ultrasonic boom height control for sprayers, announced the introduction of the

New KINZE Vision Planter Control
The new KINZE VisionTM system is based on the Ag Leader InsightTM display with touch screen control
(on a large color display) to manage compatible KINZE electronic seed monitoring and variable rate drive
systems. It also includes factory-installed Tru Count air-actuated, single row clutches for manual or GPS
auto-swath control to enable growers to engage and disengage individual planter sections at headlands, point
rows, waterways or previously planted areas. In addition, growers will be able to easily track their planting
operations by mapping and recording hybrids and varieties (including split planter confi gurations).

EZ-Guide® 500
The Ag Leader EZ-Guide 500 features a large, easy-to-read 7-inch color
display and a built-in lightbar with 31 guidance LED’s that are highly visible
even in bright light. The display provides users an “overhead” or “perspective” view of the operation while the map view provides a real-time, color
coverage map. The unit supports multiple guidance patterns and also records data from field operations that can be
transferred to a PC via a USB flash drive.
